We love making things. Some useful things, some nice things, mostly tasty things. It gets nice when we can ferment them things.
The Other Right is our little wine enterprise.
Our wine is made out of grapes and nothing else. We're striving to keep it simple, aspiring to make wine that is precise, pure, and exciting.
Winemaking operations are kept to the reasonable minimum. No unnecessary action is taken. Using fewer tools requires a lot of attention to detail, patience, creativity and problem solving.
No additives are being used, letting the wine evolve slowly, according to its natural rhythm while maintaining its character. Youth and freshness are to shine through, forming wine that is vivid, vigorous, and full of life.
UNFURL 2024
So fresh, it’s yet again hard to believe it is coming from a dry-grown vineyard in the warm climate of Sellicks Hill, McLaren vale. Crunchy red fruit, you would be forgiven for mistaking it for a bright Sangiovese that went for a walk in the Yarra valley and was never seen again.
Tasty? Yes. Unique? Very much yes.

SUNSHINE ON MY SKIN 2024
We’ve been making this wine since 2015, and never looked back. There’s something about the way apricot blossom and persimmon meet cardamom and almond kernels, that makes you realise that Viognier and maceration are a match made in grape heaven. If it’s not the most unique wine you’ve ever tried, it’s surely in the top five. Be warned: this one won’t be around for long.

FUTURE 2024
Two vintages in a row have sealed it: this Sauvignon Blanc is something special. At first, we thought it was us, but it’s the vineyard. It’s unmistakably Sauvignon, yet so subtle, so quietly assured. White currants, quandong, and hibiscus wrap around the customary (but restrained) guava and passionfruit, with hints of gunflint and the softest trace of damask rose. Really quite superb.
