See Saw wines herald from the prestigious food and wine region of Orange, Australia and are a world class expression of Orange’s pure mountainous cool climate.

Estate grown fruit, nurtured using sustainable and organic viticulture, followed by minimal intervention winemaking, results in beautifully balanced handcrafted wines. From vintage 2019 onwards, all See Saw range wines are organically certified and vegan. We, Justin and Pip Jarrett, have been growing grapes and making cool climate wines in Orange, NSW for over 25 years. Our approach to farming considers all activities and their impact on the environment and wine quality. We believe in a balanced approach to all things, most especially the sustainability of the land and environment on which we all depend, and we have a wholehearted respect for leaving a positive environmental legacy. This sustainable ethos is cultivated into the 170 hectares we now have under vine over three sites of varying elevations.

“Nurturing this land to bring out our grape's finest qualities requires one thing beyond all else - balance”

Pip & Justin Jarrett

All of the fruit in the our award winning wines is grown and nurtured by us. We believe in growing the varietals that are optimal for our terroir and is concurrent with the pursuit of crafting balanced, quality wines.

The See Saw wine range includes nine different varietals, crafted with balance and respect for their true nuances. The See Saw range is lighthearted, sociable, fun and genuine while our wine styles are food friendly, elegant, fruit-driven and ready to be consumed. Our aspiration is to deliver this while maintaining our place as leading sustainable and organic wine growers in Australia.

See Saw - Gamay 2022

Harvested from Balmoral vineyard (900m elevation) on 6th April. Following a cold soak (whether we liked it or not, it was chilly by April in Orange!), we fermented in open top vessels. Hand plunged once per day; the electric colour developed beautifully. No new oak was used to capture the vibrancy of noveau Gamay. Lightly filtered and bottled in October 2022.

See Saw Marge - Pinot Noir Gamay 2022

Selected from our organically certified Pinot Noir and Gamay blocks from Annangrove Park AP13 at 700m, and Balmoral at 900m, the Pinot Noir was hand-picked on the 8th of March 2022 from 6.30am, and the Gamay on the 6th of April 2022. Placed into half-tonne slotted bins, taken directly to the winery. These
whole bunches were placed into open fermenters and wild fermentation started while the grapes were fully intact. After 15 days the carbonic maceration was finished and the fruit was gently pressed into stainless steel tanks with lees stirred for 4 months to increase the mouthfeel. The wine was passed through a rock filter prior to bottling.

See Saw Gee Gee - Pinot Gris Gewürztraminer 2022

Selected from organically certified Pinot Gris from Annangrove Park AP2 at 700m, and our Gewürztraminer from Balmoral B1 at 900m. The Pinot Gris was hand-picked on the 12th of February from 6.30am. The Gewürztraminer was hand-picked on the 6th of March. Placed into slotted half tone bins and taken directly to the winery these whole bunches were then moved into open fermenters. Wild fermentation started while the grapes were fully intact. After 18 days the carbonic maceration was finished and the fruit was gently pressed into stainless steel tanks where Lees were stirred through fortnightly for 3 months to increase the mouthfeel.

See Saw Samm - Sauvignon Blanc Marsanne 2022

Selected from our organically certified sauvignon blanc and marsanne blocks from Springvale at 830m, these grapes were hand picked on the 15th of March 2021 from 6.30am. Placed into slotted half tonne bins and taken directly to the winery. These whole bunches were then moved into open stainless steel fermenters. Wild fermentation started while the grapes were fully intact. After 14 days the carbonic maceration was finished and the fruit was gently pressed into stainless steel tanks where Lees were stirred through fortnightly for 4 months to increase the mouthfeel. The wine was passed through a rock filter prior to bottling.

See Saw - The Party Pet Nat 2022

Both Riesling (8th March) and Chardonnay (12th March) were harvested in the early morning. Whole berry pressed to stainless steel for natural, cool fermentation. The ferment was stopped at the point of sugar and acid in perfect harmony – around 10g/L residual sugar present. The wine was then bottled under crown seal to continue its fermentation. An ever evolving wine, this Pet Nat has yeast lees, which provide complexity and flavour. Right now, the wine is bright and juicy with lots of Riesling zesty notes. Best served chilled as an aperitif.
